Group Practice   (ongoing)

Practice together on a regular basis to strengthen your Mahamudra program homework or daily
calm abiding meditation. All programs are designed by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and led by

Mind Meets Music Benefit Concert  (April 5, 2009)

YPPC's revolutionary benefit concert stars Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed (both students of
Mingyur Rinpoche), at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the Chandler Center for the Arts
(Phoenix). The concert begins with Rinpoche's simple instructions on how to use music as a focus for
meditation. Donor packages include the chance to attend the concert, a private reception and dinner
with Rinpoche, Ms. Anderson, and Mr. Reed.

Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche's 2009 Teachings in Phoenix

    Mahamudra Level I & II Retreats   (April & May 2009)
    Anyone may sign up for the three-day Mahamudra Level I retreat held Saturday through
    Monday, May 2-4, 2009 at the Mesa Convention Center (Phoenix). This is the first of a three-
    year program led by Mingyur Rinpoche. Homework generally takes a year to complete, but is
    not required. However, to sign up for Mahamudra Level II, students must have completed
    Level I homework. Mahamudra Level II will be held Thursday & Friday, April 30 - May 1,

    "Joyful Wisdom" Book Signing   (May 1, 2009)
    Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe (Phoenix) will host a free book signing with Mingyur
    Rinpoche celebrating his forthcoming book, Joyful Wisdom, on Friday, May 1, at 7:00 p.m.
    The signing includes an informal question and answer period with Rinpoche. Changing Hands
    is located at 6428 S. McClintock Drive, Tempe, AZ 85283, (480) 730-0205. A map is
    provided on the store's Web site. No fee or registration required.

    Long Life Buddha Amitayus Empowerment   (May 2, 2009)
    Amitayus is the Buddha of Limitless Life. Mingyur Rinpoche will bestow the Buddha
    Amitayus empowerment on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 7:00 p.m, at the Mesa Convention
    Center Apache Room, Building A,  263 N. Center Street, Mesa, AZ 85201.  Slight fee to cover
    costs. Free for students registered in Mahamudra Level I or II programs. Registration advised.

    Chenrezig Empowerment  (May 3, 2009)
    Four-Armed Chenrezig is the embodiment o the compassion of all the Buddhas of the past,
    present, and future. Mingyur Rinpoche will bestow a Chenrezig empowerment on Sunday,
    May 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center Apache Room, Building A, 263 N. Center
    Street,  Mesa, AZ 85201. Slight fee to cover costs. Free for students registered in Mahamudra
    Level I or II programs. Registration advised.

    Joyful Wisdom Teaching, Part I & II  (May 5 & 6 2009)
    This two-part public teaching, based off Rinpoche's book Joyful Wisdom, is free and open to
    everyone. Both evening talks begin at 7:00 p.m., and will be held at ASU's Life Science A
    Wing, Room 191, Tempe, AZ 85287. Campus directions and parking info. You may also need
    the map of the LSA Building.
